True story 2:43

The Haunted Elevator: The Long Way Up

A homage to Saturday Night Live's “Haunted Elevator”, ten Halloweens on. The sketch aired October 22, 2016, written by Mikey Day, Bobby Moynihan and Streeter Seidell, with Tom Hanks as David S. Pumpkins and Day and Moynihan as his dancing skeletons. Here two commuter ghosts, Pearl and Wendell, ride the Bog Arms lift, and on every floor Baby Pumpkin is behind the doors again with Tibs and Fibs. What is his deal? He raps it. David S. Pumpkins and the original sketch belong to SNL and its writers: the links below tell the real story and its lore. Labelled liberty: Beethoven at the full moon, as a werewolf.

True story Every fact on screen was checked before release (2026-10-31). The dialogue is invented.
